Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience Requirements

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects and teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing management software and tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including a minimum of three years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

Oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing processes across all divisions of our company, lead a team of engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety. This role is crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure the team’s success and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production, and quality assurance, to develop and implement new products or processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
  • Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
  • Drive implementation of quality program to track and document scrap, rework, and RMA root causes to drive continuous improvements to the production process and reduce cost of poor quality.
  • Partner with HR and Operations to revive/implement a training program to reduce turnover, improve quality, and increase productivity.
